Nomad Qtopia2-6rc1 Release

The Nomad Qtopia2-6rc1 Release is now available for Download:

This is based on kernel 2.6.29.6, and it uses the UBIFS file system rather than JFFS2. You will notice better boot performance with UBIFS. You first need to install the latest bootloader release, which supports UBIFS, as follows:

sudo dfu-util -c 2 -a sdgboot -D sdgboot_nomad_1234.sdg

When the flash of SDGBoot is successful, reboot the device by pressing the power button. You may then reflash the .sdg files in nomad-qt2mt-ang2007.12-6rc1.tgz in the usual way.

Qt Extended Releases

Qt Extended 4.4.3 software has been released for both the Nomad and the Recon. Qt Extended includes support for Qt 4.4.3 applications. The released software may be found in the respective Nomad or Recon software directories.

Nomad SDK

A Software Developers Kit (SDK) for the Nomad is available to assist you with your development of C, C++ or Python applications. The SDK contains an ARM-Linux gcc compiler, Qt and GTK+ libraries.

The Qtopia Desktop application allows you to communicate with the PIM (personal information management) applications on your Linux-based Recon.
