The Trimble Ranger 3 is here, and it is still setting the standard for high-performance, durable, and feature-rich data collection capability. Now sporting the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system complemented by a 800 MHz AM3715 Sitara™ superscalar processor and 4.2-inch VGA touchscreen, the new Ranger is ready to work. (No Android or Linux environment exists for the Ranger at this time. If you need Android or Linux for the Trimble Ranger, please contact us.)
Smart, tough, and loaded with additional features
Featuring the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, the next-generation Trimble Ranger possesses features that field professionals depend on: field-ready ruggedness, all-day battery life and an easy-to-use keypad and touchscreen.
The Ranger comes with integrated Bluetooth and 802.11 wireless, so you can connect to your field equipment without bulky cables. All models also feature a digital compass and built-in GPS receiver. The Secure Digital (SD) slot lets you increase data storage to handle larger jobs and is SDIO-enabled. USB host capabilities are now available for USB memory sticks and other Windows Mobile 6.5 compatible USB devices. Other optional features include a 5MP camera with dual-LED flash, 3G WWAN (GSM, HSPDA, EDGE) network functionality, and a 1D laser barcode scanner.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Ranger if it weren't built tough. The Ranger meets rigorous MIL-STD-810G standards for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures. And with an IP67 rating, it’s impervious to water and dust, keeping your data safe. For heavy-duty data-collection in a heavy-duty handheld, the Ranger is the way to go.
